Aim
Design a portfolio site that lets Carmen's artwork lead using a restrained grid gallery, generous whitespace, and simple typography while giving each piece its own dedicated page with title, medium, dimensions, and a short artist statement, plus an About section that establishes her background and credibility.
Struggles
Letting a large, varied body of work (sketches, prints, mixed media, photography) sit together in one grid without feeling cluttered or inconsistent, while keeping the interface quiet enough to stay out of the way of the art itself, and finding a layout for individual piece pages that reads well whether the work is a detailed drawing or a simple line sketch.
